"The Tales of Beedle the Bard" contains five richly diverse fairy tales, each with its own magical character, that will variously bring delight, laughter and the thrill of mortal peril.

Additional notes for each story penned by Professor Albus Dumbledore will be enjoyed by Muggles and wizards alike, as the Professor muses on the morals illuminated by the tales, and reveals snippets of information about life at Hogwarts.

A uniquely magical volume, with illustrations by the author, J. K. Rowling, that will be treasured for years to come.

Review:

A nice collection of five short fairy tales meant to be read to little wizards and witches during bedtime.

In our first story, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, a kind-hearted old man teaches his pure-blood son to love his Muggle neighbors by showing what misery his neighbors are going through. In the second story, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, three witches and a knight go on a journey to the fountain to change their unhappy lives. In our third short story, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, a much darker tale that addresses that one should never close off their heart. For our fourth story, Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump, a charlatan tries to fool a king. And for the last story, The Tale of the Three Brothers, try to humiliate Death.

For a book filled with nothing more than short fairy tales, it is a nice addition to your Harry Potter collection, plus this book also helps one of JK Rowling's charities, which I find wonderful (although I am still not a fan of the things she has said and done since becoming a famous author). I think my favorite fairy tale would be The Tale of the Three Brothers, mainly because we get to see the first (?) invisibility cloak.
