Review:

One evening while browsing through BookSirens, I came across this book. The premise sounded deliciously dark and dark romances have always been my favorite. Spread in some occult and you have my full attention. I was not sure what I was expecting going into this novel. The author was new to me and this seemed to be something that would introduce me to her work. Let me tell you I am completely under her thrall.

Mia has no idea of her past. When she is kidnapped, Mia begins to learn of the man who has taken her. The more she begins to know, the more reason for her to run away, but Sacha isn't going to let her go so easily.

Sacha is a powerful man who does not believe in the word 'no'. What he wants is Mia in his control and he will do everything within his power to weave a dark web that will make it impossible for her to escape.

On one end of the spectrum, I felt terribly sorry for Mia because she had no idea who she was or any memory of what she had been. She struggled with being addicted and trying to remember her past. When Sacha takes her, she has no means of escape and though she tries, he makes himself harder to resist. I mean, if I were in Mia's place, I would be unable to resist him as well. xD On the other end of the spectrum, we have Sacha. He is psychotic and dark. He's not willing to let Mia go.

The world-building. The occult. All of this added to the dark atmosphere of the story making it one that you could not let go of until the very end. I loved it. I loved the characters. Even the villains were well-fleshed out. This is definitely one story I do highly recommend.

But make sure that you check the trigger warnings.
