Review: Why...?
Why do I continue to torture myself?
I had been looking forward to getting my hands on this book and reading it. Now I wish I never bothered with it. The female character is whiny, indecisive, and a complete brat. She can't decide whether or not she loves Thane or she wants him to be hurt by her family. She even goes as far as to let them beat him.
And yet she hated to see anyone killed or maimed?
As for the goddess Luna, she is sus. We don't know why she wants the female lead away from Thanatos. She never bothers to give any reason why she has to be away from him and never learns anything about their previous lives only tiny little pieces here and there.
Mostly, we see her hating him. No reason why. No past explanation. Only because of Luna.
Will I bother with the next book? Maybe. It will heavily depend on whether or not I want to bother with this story any further.
