This book picks up from the cliffhanger of the first book. Sonya and Owen are swept away into the past to Lisabeth's wedding in the manor. They hope to reach her before the murdering witch, Hester Dobbs, manages to gain the ring from Lisabeth's finger but they are too late in doing so. Returning to the present, Sonya and the others (alongside some friendly ghosts) must find ways to stop Hester Dobbs from gaining her wish - to become the mistress of the manor.

HOLY MOLEY! I was excited to see this book up and more excited when I finally had the chance to read it. The first book was amazing as it set up most of the manor's history and now we are having ghostly visits from the murdered brides, which is quite amazing. Hester Dobbs is a Thanos-esque character determined to remove all obstacles from her path to gain ownership of the mansion. I LOVED IT.

I am currently rooting for all the romances right now because I love all four of the main characters. Their character growth grew during the second book as well as the bond between Cleo and Sonya and these two are the type of friends I wish I had. I am envious of it.
