Book Review: Magnus Chase has returned for his second adventure!

This time, Thor has lost his hammer again. The thing is that it is not really lost but in the hands of Thor's enemies. On top of that, the Valkyrie Sam has been promised to a giant named Thrym. It is a marriage that Sam doesn't want. Magnus and his friends are determined to save her and gain back the hammer before Loki finds a way to release himself from his prison.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Rick Riordan's books? They are always full of fun adventures and humorous twists and turns.

This one, however, seemed to be my less favorite of his books. The plot seemed to drag in the beginning and the humor seemed to be a bit flat all together. Still this book was a definite fun read. I have had this book on my reading list for quite some time and I had been meaning to crack it open. I am glad I did. Despite its short fallings, it was still a really good read and a wonderful addition to my collection. I am quite looking forward to the third book and I cannot wait to see Percy Jackson finally appear in this one!
