Book Review: Want to know the history of the Marvel Universe but can't collect the older comics because of prices?
Well then you might want to pick up this issue as Galactus narratives the story of the Marvel Universe. In this issue, we get a glimpse of the beginning of the Marvel universe such as prehistoric version of The Avengers and goes all the way to modern heros such as Ghost Rider.
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up to start its Phase 4, you will learn the history of the Eternals and Celestials.
All of this will be compact into the six issues and allow you to catch up on what has been going on in the Marvel Universe.
Please don't get me wrong but I really like the idea that I don't have to hunt down older issues just to catch myself up because we have Galactus as our narrator, which is really a big surprise because I would have thought one of the Watchers would have been our guide into this Universe. After all, they record the history of Earth and they pretty much tell us what has been going on. So to have it being Galactus is a big game changer to the storyline.
My beef is that we already had this done with the X-Men Grand Design series, which I was not a complete fan of the art. Still it helped to understand what exactly had happened during the earlier periods of the X-Men series.
If you are one who is interested in the history of the Marvel Universe, then this series will definitely help you come up-to-date with the universe as we prepare for Marvel's phase 4 universe.
