Book Summary: Happily Ever After? Rogue and Gambit have had quite the year — will they finally be able to relax and enjoy marital bliss? Don’t bet on it!
Book Review: Candra has forced Remy to make a decision on whom to sacrifice: his ex-wife Belladonna or his current wife Rogue. But what Candra doesn't know is that Remy has come up with a plan of his own and has freed himself and sets out to free Rogue and Belladonna. The two women team up together to take down the Guild together and bring down Candra.

This is the final issue of what has been a great series. Rogue and Gambit's marriage has been quite the rollercoaster since the moment the two of them exchanged "I dos" in front of family and friends after the disasterous end to Colossus and Kitty. Their space honeymoon ended up being a rescue of the child belonging to Charles Xavier and Lilandra and then the two were drawn into a series of television series by Mojovision, and now this. I am sad to see this series end as it has especially as we are getting ready for the House of X/Power of X series that is to change - perhaps even shake things up - in the X-Universe.

So does this mean the marriage has been erased for the X-Universe? Perhaps and it may seem to be that way. Hopefully in this upcoming series there will still be a chance for the two to come together again.

Book Summary: All Hail the King and Queen of Thieves! The Thieves Guild has come to take what is theirs — where does that leave Rogue and Gambit?
Book Review: Since the moment Gambit asked Rogue to marry him at the defunct wedding of Colossus and Kitty, their marriage has become nothing but a rollercoaster of adventure and in this issue, this has not change whatsoever. While Rogue is dealing with X-Men business, Gambit has decided to return home to his guild. Unfortunately his homecoming seemed to be expected but what was not expected was to find Chandra, the Eternal, on his throne. Captured and at the mercy of Chandra, Gambit seems to be at her mercy. That is until there is commotion right outside the door. Here we find Rogue entering into the fray to rescue her husband from the clutches of the Guild and Chandra. But when Rogue is captured, Gambit is given the choice of sacrificing his wife and rejoining the guild. The question is: will this be the end of Gambit and Rogue?

I must say that it has been quite awhile since I last picked up an issue from this series. Work and school have been competing for my time and reading has become a bit of a rare event as of late. I do try to catch up on my days off but sometimes I have to put it off especially when homework needs to come first.

Still this is a wonderful guilty pleasure to return to. Gambit and Rogue continue to be a favorite and I would love to see how their marriage will play out further but glimpses of newer comics from the X-Universe seem to have wiped that out. I am hoping that this is not true and we will find the couple once again happy but I suppose that will remain to be seen.

But I digress and I am moving away from the subject at hand. This series seems to be coming to an end and thus the adventures of our newly married couple will be something to go down in history. Here is to hoping the final issue will be well worth the series.

Title: Star Wars: Age of Rebellion - Darth Vader #1
(Star Wars: Age of Rebellion)
Author: Greg Pak (Writer), Marc Laming (Penciller), Terry Dodson (Cover Artist), Rachel Dodson (Cover Artist)
Format: Epub
Rating: 4.2/5

Book Summary: YOUR HUMBLE SERVANT VADER! DARTH VADER may be the most feared man in the galaxy. But to the proud Grand Moffs of THE EMPIRE, he’s just the Emperor’s apprentice – below them in the hierarchy. But what fury burns in the heart of a SITH with such overwhelming rage when a mere Moff dares command him? And at what point does Darth Vader show them his true power?
Book Review: Vader may the most feared Sith in the galaxy but his leash is held by Palpatine and when Palpatine orders that Vader listen to the regional Governor. Unfortunately for the Governor, everytime he sends Vader out with the hopes that Vader will not only fail but die, Vader seems to return. But when Vader is given the order to destroy the most dangerous creature in an asteroid belt, Vader goes out and comes back angering the Governor whom learns that Vader is just doing what he has been ordered.

Vader is one of the most interesting characters in the Star Wars universe, simply because we don't know what exactly he is up to inbetween episode 3 and 4. Now we are getting glimpses and we can see that Vader continues his rampage against the Jedi as he sets out to destroy all of them.

Vader continues to be one of my favorite characters and I really enjoyed this issue. It was a bit short but well worth the read. There are moments where you can see Vader trying to fight against the leash that Palpatine has on him but in the end you know he can't fight against it.

I wish the Star Wars universe had a "What If" to it. There could be so many different ways these things could go.

Book Summary: Gambit must use all his thieving skills to steal a precious object. Spiral must single-handedly (or is that multi-handedly?) fight off Mojo’s minions. And Rogue is on a mental trip reliving all her defining mutant memories. Not a great time for self-reflection, Rogue!
Book Review: I have to say this was rather a fun issue. We deep dive into Rogue's mind where we find out what may be the problem behind her loss of control over her powers. Plus we find Gambit on his own adventure to retrieve something special. Exactly how all of this will tie together is just around the corner.

This series continues to amaze. Gambit and Rogue have continued to grow not only as individuals but also as a married couple. Unfortunately Rogue's inability to control her powers have always been the catalyst to any and all relationships she has had in the past including those with Gambit. In this issue, we find out exactly what the problem may be and Rogue seems to come to some sort of terms of this. Does this mean she will finally have gotten ahold of those powers? Now that entirely remains to be seen. We are still coming to the climatic part of the Mojo arc and where this will send us next is anyone else's guess. I am hoping that this adventure will be something that not only will Gambit and Rogue learn from but also grow their relationship further.

The only downside to this issue? Some inconsistency. Nothing major but there were a few spots within Rogue's inner monologue that had me a bit unsure of but otherwise I think that is the only thing I actually found.

Still a very fun issue and well one I recommend to all those whom are fans of this favorite pair.
