Fate has torn us apart and sometimes I believe the stars have given up on us altogether.

Without my sister, the world seems darker than ever before and the shadows loom thicker, rising up to answer the call of the Shadow Princess and changing the face of Solaria for good.

Now Lionel Acrux has the strength to make a move for the throne, I’m not sure how much time we have left to stop him.

Our only hope is to find the Imperial Star before he does. We made the sacrifice the stars called for and we’re paying the price for that decision so it can’t be for nothing. But with the stars turning against us at every move, and the last light in the world seeming to fade, I’m afraid we’re almost out of time. Hope is a dangerous thing. It’s the key to us fighting on. But it could be what destroys us in the end.

One thing is for certain, I won’t stop until I have been reunited with my other half and together we will fight to take our crowns.

A war is coming.

The throne is calling for a new monarch. And someone must answer its call.

Review:

I hate when books become nothing more than fillers for the author to extend their series well past the necessary books. This one felt too dragged out and nothing more than a soap opera. I even waited to hear the sounds of something out of Days of Our Lives where MacDonald Carey said, "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives." Now I am not expecting the same thing but something close.

In a full honest review, I skimmed through this book because it was boring, repetitive, and just plain out fillers that should have led up to a climax befitting the next book in the series. Instead, I found it flat and uneventful like the authors seemed to be growing tired of their story.

The whole Darius and Tory storyline - had a lot of potentials to turn out to be really something like Dary and Orion. Perhaps something even more and yet we get a dance around each other. A step forward, a step back. The ending seemed to be a whole step back and now I am not sure what we are going to get from this.

I am trying my hardest not to stop reading the rest of the series but these filler books are making it hard to get any further into them. They are boring as hell and skimming through the chapters makes it hard to decide what is worth the read and what is not.

So, now we will see if the next book will be worth staying.
