The Hunt is on, and Penelope is joining the fray! With crossbow in hand and devil-may-care attitude on lock, the daughter of the duke struts off to confront anything in her way, be it maniacal love interests, conniving countesses, or game for the tournament. So... why does it feel like she’s the one who’s prey? When fate sends assassins after Callisto and Penelope is caught in the crossfire, she soon finds out just the very real, very deadly consequences of her actions on the plot...
Review:
The hunt has arrived and Penelope has decided to join the fray, much to the displeasure of her brothers. Even worse, the Crown Prince has decided to join. Penelope will have to do everything to avoid the Crown Prince, but when they cross paths, Penelope finds herself in the crossfire of an assassination attempt on the Crown Prince. Her life becomes tangled with the Crown Prince, whether she wants it or not.
I loved the developing relationship Penelope has with the duke. It's growing. Parent/child. You can see he dotes on her and I don't believe he sees her as Yvonne. I think he is starting to see past that.
As for her half-brothers, I can understand why she keeps her distance away from them. They treat her with hostility. Derrick most of all. I can see why she keeps her distance from them. They have been treated horribly, but we do see a bit of change with Reynolds. He does worry about her and we see this during the hunt.
I loved this novel. I love Penelope. I love her interaction with Callisto. It's funny. And her thoughts for him are even more hilarious, from calling him psycho to trying to make herself sick in order to avoid running into him.
Seriously, you need to read both the manhwa and the light novel. They are worth it.
