Sypnosis: Here there be monsters.
It was an offer too good to refuse: spend one month in the most haunted house in the world. When the reclusive owner of Duskwood Manor opens the door to five teams of paranormal investigators, there’s no way my team can say no.
But there are no ghosts here.
There are monsters.
They live under my bed, in my closet, and watch me from the shadows, whispering filthy visions in my ear at night.
Begging me to come with them to their world—the Void, where the monsters roam free… where they teach me what it really means to want.
Every night I disappear from the mortal world to play in theirs, swallowed by their insatiable, terrifying shadows.
Consumed by their claws and fangs.
Caressed by slick tentacles and endless, delicious hunger.
But the longer I stay in the Void, the harder it is to ignore its call.
There is a price to pay for stepping foot in this manor…
And the monsters have demanded me.
Review: Noooo! I want more! I don't want to wait until this year for the next book! ;.:
So, does anyone knows where we could find a mysterious island where there be monsters of our very own?
Seriously, this book - I could not even put it down even for a moment. I refused to grab another drink or make something to eat until the very end because the book was that good. Normally, I can put down a book and grab the things I needed but this one - this one I could not. I started reading this book around midnight and did not let it go until the wee hours of the morning. I think I even cried because book 2 is not out until this year. ;.;
Monster males who have been waiting for their female finally manage to have her in their grasp and the great thing is that she is not whiny or scared or running for the hills to get away from them. She doesn't care what they look like. In fact, there were moments she initiated sex. I found her wholly refreshing and so much better than these other whiny other females.
The monsters are quite impressive and I loved each one. They were completely devoted to her and would do anything to protect her. I loved that about them. I am surprised they were willing to share. LOL I know that Rask hated sharing with the others and was quite adamant about Juno being his and his only, I found that absolutely cute! But he does share and I am pretty sure it is not his liking.
All that aside, the world-building and storyline were just enough to rope me into wanting more of this series and I am quite looking forward to that.
