Book Review: Everyone's favorite couple are back together.

Okay not exactly back together but they are together for a mission.

According to Kitty, Cerebra has picked up a large scale of mutants on an island but something is going on with those mutants. They seem to be disappearing and no one can figure out why. Which leads Kitty to suggest she send Gambit and Rogue together on this mission. Of course, Rogue is less than thrilled at the prospect of being sent with Gambit and doesn't understand why Kitty and Colossus don't go. Of course, Kitty has reasons for remaining behind - she is in charge and thus her word is final.

As Gambit and Rogue head off to the island, Gambit's jealousy over Deadpool and Rogue's kiss and Rogue only worsens the jealousy by rubbing it in that Deadpool is a far better kisser. As two settle into a room, the pair meet two mutants before heading off to find out why the mutants are disappearing.

Only to find themselves in deep trouble.

Gambit and Rogue have always been my favorite couple. Ever since I was a teenager, I had always been rooting for them to be together. I know there has been a lot going on between them and I know I am far behind in their storylines to really catch up but there will always be a part of me rooting for the two of them to get back together.

This story seemed to be a bit short but it does give us the beginning of a storyline for them. Mutants are disappearing but there is no answer as to why. So these two will have to pair up to find out why. I am sure there will be romance and quite a bit of comedy between the two. I expect it between them because the road to romance will never be paved with such good intentions.

I am quite looking forward to seeing how this story goes. I really would love to see them settle things between them even if it does not put them together as I would love to.
