Book Review: Born in Iran and moving to Minnesota when he was eight, Afshin Shahidi met Prince in 1993 when he was invited to be a loader for a music video. From then on, he became working regularly for the pop star until he landed the gig as his photographer.

This book is an intimate look into Prince away from the spotlight. Images never before seen to the public and shared with fondest memories of working for someone who always enjoyed his privacy more than anything. There are stories with each image. Memories of a time that will draw you in and remember a man that left us too early in his life.

This book is a must have for any Prince fan. There are images and stories weaved by a man who was given an unprecedent access to one of the world's most reclusive stars. My biggest peeve to this collection were the dreams. I felt they didn't quite belong but I suppose to each their own. Otherwise this was a wonderful book and I enjoyed it immensely.
