Welcome to the dark world of Grimm, where the villains are as wicked as their desires.

Aura was always destined to become the Starnight Prince’s bride following her twenty-first birthday. Now that the day has arrived, she looks forward to wedded bliss—and their first night together as husband and wife.

That is, until the savage dragon king from another court steals Aura away before the ceremony.

Hellbent on revenge, the King of Sin has been making careful plans to ruin the Starnight Prince. For years, he used lustful dalliances to battle his rage and bide his time. With Aura in his possession—the key to his vengeance—he’ll use her however he sees fit.

But whenever Aura is near, the King of Sin wants nothing more than to unlock her inner desires, make her crave his touch and long for the pleasure only he can give.

No matter the sin. No matter what is to become of her.

Spindle of Sin is a new take on Sleeping Beauty and the first book in a stand-alone series of spicy dark fairy tale retellings where the villain gets the girl in the end. Each delicious tale can be read in any order and contains fierce females, morally gray males, epic stories, and scorching romance. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Laura Thalassa, Raven Kennedy, and Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Review:

I was surprised by how quickly I could devour this book so quickly in one evening. Aura is set to marry Prince Pax, the man she has loved for some time. That is until Rush arrives and kidnaps her. There in his Court, Rush has plans for Aura. He uses a spell that would lock her away into deep sleep but that spell doesn't necessarily work in the way he wants. Rather, it eats away at her life force and causes periods of sleep. All Aura wants is to return to her prince but Rush isn't about to let go of what belongs to him.

Sleeping Beauty has always been a favorite fairytale of mine. Okay, the Disney version just not the Grimm Brothers version, but in all seriousness, I always tend to root for the villain and this book was no exception. The only thing I did have against the male lead is that he was a bit horrible to Aura. Having sex at her door irked her and forced her to appear at an orgy party that she did not want to. Otherwise, I think he would have been great.

But if we were to weigh the lesser of two evils - Rush and Pax - I would be going for the former more than anything.

In the end, this was a quick and spicy read filled with a villain that will kill anyone who touched what belonged to him.

He’s the Frost King. She’s his sacrifice. A cold world creates cold hearts.

Morozko is king of the frost realm, and every year he requires a sacrifice. But when his royal pride is wounded, Morozko demands a maiden instead.

Eirah, a recluse toymaker, is chosen from hundreds to give up her life and save her village. However, she must first be dragged to Morozko’s ice palace as his prisoner.

With Eirah ensnared in his clutches, the king promises one thing: no matter how high the flames of desire burn between them, her blood will spill on the edge of his blade.

Unless she spills his first.

Slaying the Frost King is a standalone installment of the heart-pounding fantasy romance series, Mortal Enemies to Monster Lovers. If you like strong heroines and morally gray heroes, as well as spicy slow burn, forced proximity, and enemies to lovers vibes, you’ll devour this sexy, addictive series. Review:

This is my first book from this author and she hooked me hook, line, and sinker with this story. This book is part of a series of standalone novels of delicious monster males and the women they love. There are enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and a theme of Beauty and the Beast in this novel and it will quickly draw you in from the first page to the very last.

Morozko is the King of this Frost Realm. Each year he desires a sacrifice, but his pride is wounded when the villagers of Vinti have forgone the sacrifice. Angered by this, Morozko decides to punish the village by going after their females and offering them a sacrifice. But the moment he lays eyes on Eriah, he realizes he has found the woman who has haunted his sleep. He has no idea what role she will play but he whisks her away to his home as his little bird trapped in his birdcage.

Eriah, a toymaker, believes that she is being whisked away to become his sacrifice. But when he unknowingly shares his blood through a drink, Eriah finds something changing in her but there is no time to contemplate the change. Her village has been attacked by changelings and now she and Morozko have to figure out why this happening and stop it.

I loved, loved the characters and the world. I also loved the banter between them especially when she is trying to kill him or when those who serve him find out.

He flexed his fingers, chuckling darkly. "She tried to stab me."
"Again, Your Majesty?" Xezu sighed tiredly.

I love her. I love absolutely love Eriah. She is a girl after my own heart and although she may not be a guy, I am adding her to my Book Boyfriends because she is awesome in the way she handles herself against Morozko. I love that neither of them falls in insta-love and that the romance is slow and well worth the wait.

And poor Morozko. He cannot decide whether to love her or kill her. xD It is hilarious how he tries to seduce her with his words and yet she is not taking any of the bait. I do love that he does have concern for her as he tries to navigate the reason behind her being part of his prophetic dreams.

I am happy I was able to pick up this book before it was released. This series of standalone novels are quickly becoming a huge favorite of mine and I cannot wait to get my hands the rest of them.

To the authors, I cannot wait to read more of your books. I am hooked!
