Why be a good witch when it's so fun to be wicked...
Did Sara accidentally cast a spell that “caressed” her dad's best friend? Maybe.
Does the infamously icy Professor Lorne Abel set her body alight? Definitely.
The stoic professor is hiding plenty of secrets, starting with the fact that he's no wizard. He's an Unseelie spy who revels in his culture’s dark pleasures and fantasies. Sara's bratty side awakens this pleasure dom's need to tease and taunt. But the curvy witch is half his age and there is a line he refuses to cross.
Too bad Lorne’s threats only pique Sara’s infamously insatiable curiosity.
When she throws herself into blatant danger, the Unseelie teaches her a valuable lesson that leaves her begging for more. Soon they're forced to face their taboo feelings... along with their places in the mortal realm and the fae Wildlands.
Lessons in Unseelie Discipline is a standalone fantasy romance that ends with a happily ever after. This book contains dark themes and elements. It is intended for adult audiences. Please see the author's website for a more detailed list of themes.
Review:
When I caught sight of this book on BookSirens, I was instantly hooked. I mean, who would not with a bit of Harry Potter-esque and Unseelie all wrapped up into one single hot tale of kinky sex? If you don't understand what I mean, there were several instances where Sara was referred to as the brightest witch of her age. This was clearly a nod to the brightest witch herself, Hermione Granger. You cannot tell me any different.
In this world, non-magical people are referred to as generics and live alongside the witches, wizards, and other creatures belonging once to mythology. Lorne, our rather grumpy Unseelie fae and wizard, has been friends with Sara's father for quite a long time. During one of their duels, Sara, who should not be in the room, fires off an accidental spell that sort of caresses Lorne's lower part of his body. From there, the two begin a rather interesting relationship of BDSM and delicious kinky sex.
Now, please correct me if I am wrong, but I feel Lorne is, if anything, either Snape or even Draco Malfoy. Please, please tell me I am right. I don't mind the feel of the Harry Potter-esque feel of this novel, I am just a bit curious as to who is who. LOL
This book is pretty good but I do wish the world-building had a bit more thought-putting. The potential is there but not finely executed as it should be. I think that was the only problem I actually saw in this book. Otherwise, I am quite looking forward to this book's release.
