Sypnosis: The Court Jester marks his targets with a ribbon. That’s how I find out I’m next.

The moment that band of scarlet fabric appears on my pillow, I know it’s a promise—a bad omen delivered by someone wicked.

He’s powerful. He’s sinful.

The jester rules this sensual court more than the king. Words are his weapon. He can ruin you as quickly as he can steal your virtue.

They whisper about him in the castle’s shadowed halls. Everyone fears his devilish tongue, yet everyone desires his heated touch.

With each seductive temptation, I fall under the jester’s spell. With every forbidden moment, he ignites a fire that I’ve never known before.

But the jester is guarding a treasonous secret. And wanting him is dangerous.

As a good little princess, I should know. Because if I don’t risk my ruin, I’ll surely sacrifice my heart.

WARNING: This is steamy NA/New Adult fantasy romance with explicit sexual content and language. For readers 18+ who want a scorching enemies to lovers story.

Review: So, I have never picked up anything from Natalia and now that I have, I was like, "Wow!"

Briar is our female lead. A princess from the land of Autumn. She has come to the land of Spring with her mother where there is some sort of celebration and meeting for the heads of each season. There Briar finds a red ribbon on her bed. She is not sure who has left but soon learns that it is the Court Jester. Briar wants nothing to do with him but soon she finds herself in her web. He lights something inside her but to her he is dangerous. With her heart at stake, will Briar find a way to avoid her pursuing Court Jester?

This was quite a delicious read. I was hooked from the moment I started reading this book until the very end of the page. I like the fact that they did not fall into each other's arms so quickly. That the romance was a slow burn and being built. I have a pet peeve when it comes to romances in fantasy. A lot of them tend to be these insta romances that they feel forced and not real.

This one was on a whole different level from the world-building to the lush characters to the dangerous dance between Jester and Briar. This was a story that will draw in its reader, hold them enthralled within the pages, and wanting more when you have reached the last page.
