Review: I am really on the fence when it comes to rating this book because I have to weigh both the manga and novel against each other.
The manga is a bit shorter and goes right into the story while the novel gives further information about the characters and situation and how things really came to be.
I loved the manga. The art and storyline were enough to satiate my appetite until I have a chance to get my hands on the novel. When I finally did do so, I found myself really trying to keep my attention on the book. I don't know why but the book felt that all of this could have been solved by communication. Unfortunately, when it comes to romance novels, that is not going to happen right away. Communication seems to be the last thing on their minds and we have a runaway bride trying to begin her new life and a male lead that is determined to find her and return her to his side by any means necessary - even by demanding an heir from her.
I used to devour these novels as a teenager. They kept me from going crazy at school, especially after huge tests. Now I see them as somewhat silly but just something for me to read while I am trying to decide my next big read.
So, I am going to give this novel a 3.8 simply because I loved the manga.
